Overview of the conference (Frontiers in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience and Technology 2015)
The future of brain sciences lie with integration of approaches from other scientific realms. These realms include fields such as physics, biomedical engineering, optical engineering, nanotechnology, materials science, information sciences, robotics, and genetic engineering. The purpose of this meeting is to highlight latest advances in such interdisciplinary efforts in neuroscience. Leading researchers from different disciplines will present studies that exemplify and inspire such cross-fostering. Highlights include cutting edge advances in MR, optical, electrophysiological, and computational technology; integration of neuroscience and mathematics to understand network basis of cognition and behavior; and advances in brain-machine interface approaches for clinical rehabilitation.
